Final Six Word Memoir

She has the guy, I love.

I chose this memoir out of all the rest because it means something, not just to me but other girls that like guys who are taken by girls you dislike. It sucks knowing the girl you dont like has the guy yearn for. This probably happens to a lot of teenage girls. It hurts to see them together, it doesn't matter but just to know she has him, it stings. Sometimes a girl likes a guy and then a close friend takes him, then you end up resembling them. Then later they might regret losing your friendship over a dumb guy, you might find it in yourself to forgive the. Always remember NEVER TO FIGHT FOR A GUY, don't do that. That guy would enjoy you guys fighting for him, and it's not worth it. Remember you're young, so there is plenty of fish in the sea!!

Whale Rider

Whale Rider
Whale Rider was a really interesting film, that shows a lot about culture and tradition. The main character Pai, was pushed away by her grandfather, Koro, when she was born, because Koro was expecting a boy from his son so that he could become the next leader. Pai's mom died giving birth to both Pai and her brother which also died at birth, so all was left was Pai. As she grew older Koro got closer to Pai, but everything changed the day her father came back from Germany, where he worked as an artist. He messed up the relationship between them, when Koro found out his son was having a baby with a lady in Germany. Since then Koro treated Pai, like a girl was supposed to be treated, without respected. Pai felt she needed to do something, so she did, but she messed up every single time. First, bringing the little boys agony down, in a stick fight for boys only, girls weren't allowed. Then Pai messed up again calling the whales to help find Koro's whale tooth he through in the ocean, hoping one of the boys he was training to become the next chief would find it, but he was wrong. So for a while he wouldn't talk to absolutely no one. The next days, Pai's uncle and friends went to sail the ocean and her uncle had told her where Koro had thrown the tooth and, said she would go and get it, which she did. Then when they got home they gave it to Pai's grandma, she said she would hold it till the right moment. But when the whales arrived they were dieing, so everyone in the town came to help keep them alive from night till morning till finally everyone was sobbing walking away, because there was no way to get the main whale into the ocean so that the rest would follow. So Pai decided to just get on the whale and kinda talk to it, trying to make it go back into the ocean, so she did but she left riding it into the ocean. When Koro looked back, Pai's Grandma gave Koro his tooth necklace. Then Koro asked which one of the boys got it it, all she answered was "It wasn't a boy," then he quickly turned to find Pai. She had taken off on the whale's back into the ocean with all the other whales following. Then Koro called all of the people to get the boat to save Pai, but when they got her she had to much water in her body, she got sick. then Koro felt really bad, and was begging for forgiveness, and forgiveness he got. Then again they all got along and left sailing in a long boat together as a big cultural family. This was a great movie that everyone should watch, it shows a lot of spirit and encouragement.
